Formstack in the News: 2019 Recap

The end of the year is always a great time for reflection. What did we accomplish this year? What did we learn? What will we remember? Who did we impact?

As we think back on 2019 for Formstack, it seems clear this was a pivotal year in our company’s history. We experienced notable change and growth (including a brand refresh!) and made a lot of exciting announcements.

Before we close out the year, let’s run through a quick recap of the top Formstack news from 2019.

Relocated Indiana Headquarters to Fishers

Formstack was founded in Indianapolis in 2006 and has maintained strong ties to Central Indiana even after building a large remote workforce. In February 2019, Formstack opened its new Indiana headquarters office in the Nickel Plate District in downtown Fishers, Indiana.

Shared Unified Platform Vision

Shortly after relocating to Fishers, Formstack announced its vision to become a full-stack, integrated data platform for workplace productivity. The stated vision was to use a series of strategic acquisitions to build a suite of data collection products that help transform the way businesses collect data and put it to work.

Acquired WebMerge and Rebranded It to Formstack Documents

In April 2019, Formstack announced another acquisition: WebMerge, a leading provider of automated contracts, applications, and proposal PDF and Word documents. Later in the year, WebMerge was rebranded to Formstack Documents, adding a seamless document generation tool to Formstack’s productivity platform.

Achieved PCI Compliance for Forms

At the end of April 2019, Formstack announced it had attained Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) for its Forms solution, allowing users to process credit card payment information in the most secure manner.

Acquired InsureSign and Rebranded It to Formstack Sign

In July 2019, Formstack announced its third acquisition of the year: InsureSign, a leading eSignature software provider. Last month, InsureSign was rebranded to Formstack Sign, enhancing Formstack’s growing platform with an easy and secure way to get documents signed electronically from anywhere on any device.

Received Top Ranking Among eSignature Providers

Formstack Sign (formerly InsureSign) continued to be recognized as a leading eSignature tool by G2Crowd, receiving a No. 1 ranking in the first two quarters of the year in areas like overall satisfaction, usability, results, and customer support.
